Business experience:
With a well practiced business accumen Latarnie has an inate ability to bring out the promotional characteristics for marketing campaigns to widen and reach your target clientel. From organic food and fashion supply chain logistics to marketing the final products, you can be assured in getting results.
Backed by the University of Sydney degree in science, majoring in food production and business management, Latarnie enjoyed working with the food supply chain throughout 6 regions of the eastern states. This encompassed working with over 500 producers, marketing and supply chain companies to improve natural resources, ecology, water use efficiency, supply chain logistics, and profit margins.
Latarnie became the first organic agronomist in NSW and became a specialist, working with the national RIRDC program and science team to increase organic food production, and connect producers face to face with more companies which process and market organic food.
In 2006 Latarnie worked with Australia's longest running organic certification company to improve the communication of technical standards into practical methodologies and problem solving for businesses producing, importing and exporting organic products. This has further widened networks around Australia, from smaller local production groups to national companies for organic wine, coffee, cosmetics, fresh food wholesalers and exporters.
Early in 2007 Latarnie was invited to consult to inform UK giant, Marks and Spencer, of Australian certified organic wool potential for their woolen garments. This involved a complex global exercise in logistics as woollen clothing perhaps has the longest supply chain, usually stretching over 3-5 continents.
By May 2007 Latarnie decided to further diversify professional interests by bring this wealth of experience direct to households and businesses wanting to improve their health and sustainability. By working directly with the end users, Latarnie finds this style of consulting greatly rewarding, in connecting with a diversity of clients and helping them bring goals to fruition. |
